Mt. Timpanogos caves

Today, Chris and I went on the Mt. Timpanogos cave tour.  It's a long and steep hike up to the caves (about 1 1/2 miles) but it is so worth it.  Every time I go to the caves, I'm amazed by their beauty and I've never tierd of seeing them.  I would highly recommend everyone to come and visit the caves at least once.  They are breath taking!!

Me and little Cole Nelson!

Isn't he a cutie?

Hear Ye Hear Ye!

Today, my parents and I went to the Renaissance fair.  There was jousting, kettle korn, and medieval shops! It was a lot of fun and I'll hopefully attend next year!

Battle Creek Hike

Today my parents, brother, dog, and I decided to take a short hike, since the weather is so beautiful! I found an easy hike called Battle Creek which is in Pleasant Grove, UT. It was so beautiful there were lots of small waterfalls and a cool little river.  Gir (my dog) did not enjoy the water and I had to carry him across the stream at one point, but other than that he did awesome (for only his second hike ever)! At the end, we all ended up hot and a little dirty, but we had sooo much fun!

Cool story

So, tonight Chris and I went to Outback for our anniversary dinner.  When we got there, the hostess asked if we were celebrating anything special, and I said that we were there for our anniversary.  We then proceeded to order and eat our meal without thinking anything of it.  In the middle of our meal, another waitress came up to our table and told us that the couple who were sitting next to us had heard that it was our anniversary and had paid for our meal. I was shocked!! Nothing like this had ever happened to me and I was so grateful to the kind couple who paid for our dinner (plus dessert). The coolest thing about it was that the couple insisted on leaving before we were told, so we have no idea who they are.  I'm so glad that they were kind enough to think of us on our anniversary and I hope that some day I can do the same for someone else.

Three years to the day!

Happy Anniversary! Hurray! Today is our third wedding anniversary! I can't believe how fast the time has flown! I also can't believe how lucky I have been to have Chris by my side for the past three years!  He has been such a wonderful husband! He always makes me laugh, he works really hard (and loves to do it which is a total mystery to me), he spoils me rotten (oh darn!), and there are a hundred more things that I could say about him, but then this would be way to long of a blog.  Suffice it to say, that I love him deeply.  I hope that the rest of our marriage is as pleasant and wonderful if not better than these last three!

There is beauty all around!

There truly is beauty all around! Cousin Amanda and I went to a tulip festival today at the Thanksgiving Point and it was so beautiful! I couldn't believe how many different types of tulips there were, and we learned that back in medieval times, 1 tulip bulb would have cost (in our money) $5.5 million dollars!! Crazy! Even though it was slightly rainy and wet, we managed to have a blast!!
