Vanessa Vision vs Thomas Vision

Yesterday, my brother Thomas and I went on a photography adventure! We traveled to Salt Lake City and up Big Cottonwood Canyon (near SLC) to take pictures and have fun. Since we were taking pictures of the same thing (and of each other), I thought it would be fun to share our pictures in Vanessa Vision and Thomas Vision. Here it goes:

Salt Lake Auto Show 2012

Last Friday, Chris and I introduced Alex to one of our annual traditions, the Auto Show! Since Chris does not work on Friday's we went hoping that the show would not be as busy as the day's that we've gone in the past. To our surprise, it was still pretty busy. Even so, we had fun looking at, making fun of, and climbing into the new cars of 2012 and 2013. Alex was asleep for most of it but when she did wake up, she really enjoyed sitting in a 2012 Ford Mustang convertible. She got really excited when Chris pushed up the seat far enough for her to reach the steering wheel. In fact, she was having so much fun that random people who were looking at the car, asked our permission to take a picture of her in the car. I think that Chris and I are going to be in a lot of trouble when Alex turns 16...We also had fun running into Chris' missionary companion Brandon Gregory and his family. We usually run into them at these shows since Brandon is a car enthusiast like Chris. It was really nice to be able to catch up on them and their two cute kids. Overall, we had a lot of fun and we can't wait to take Alex to the show again next year!
Me in a Jeep Truck...I forget the technical name.

Chris in the Ford Raptor...Such a cool truck!

Alex in her future car....

Having fun! I think that she'll take after her Dad :)

Christmas in Michigan

Cutie Cousins Alex and Evette in their Christmas Dresses
We just got back from a two week vacation in Michigan where we celebrated Christmas, Boxing Day (not really), New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Kathy's Birthday (my awesome Mother-In-Law), David and Kathy's Anniversary, and just being together. It was a lot of fun, especially since so many family members were able to attend. All of Chris' sisters were able to make it plus our cute niece Evette. Unfortunately, Lorie's husband Adam had to work and could not make it. We wish that he could have met Alex, but we will just have to get together again soon. Oh darn :). The holidays were awesome and we had a good time. We went and saw some movies (a huge treat for us), visited Frankenmuth, MI which has the largest Christmas store in the US (soooo much fun)!!! Alex really liked looking around at the store and was super happy to be there. During our stay we also visited downtown Detroit (briefly, it was snowing) and we went to many restaurants and went out shopping. The best part of the trip though was just spending time with family. It was also a lot of fun to see the little cousins together. They loved holding hands and trying to figure each other out. It was so dang cute!! We were sad to have to leave and hope that its not too long before we meet up again.
